valentine’s day

today hasn’t exactly gone as planned. we’ve had sickness in the house for…. i don’t even know how long. i’ve lost track. needless to say, there were no decorations this year. no homemade cards. i didn’t even get around to putting together the little treat boxes i bought. we did, however, start the day off with pancakes and pink whip cream.

but, then a certain 5 year old started sassing a little too much, and had to have a very sad consequence. she’d be missing out on the vday party at my mom’s house. it was very upsetting. adalaide headed out to the celebration alone, and even though finley has gotten on with her day, it feels kinda off in the house.

  1. You make an “off” valentine’s day look more “on” than most!!! I don’t know how you do it- but those girls have more love…even Finley…though sad she didn’t make it to the party…got to help with the treat buckets. And that Lyla…everytime I see her smile- it just lights up my life!!! Happy Valentines Day. I love you all!

  2. The website looks sooo good! I’m impressed you know how to figure all that stuff out.

My kids have been having attitudes lately and it’s so hard when they do. It would have been easy to let Finley go to the party anyway, I bet it was hardest for you. I’m working on following through with consequences..and they’re still so young! One lesson at a time…
